Annual school events

At the end of each academic year the classes hold award assemblies. Parents are invited along to share the celebration of the hard work the pupils have done over the year.

Christmas - Each year nursery and key stage one pupils along with the choir produces a Nativity play, to which their families and friends are warmly invited.  Other activities include parties at other schools, visit to Father Christmas, pantomimes etc.

Educational visits - The school has 5 minibuses.  They are used to provide ‘hands on’ experience of topic work connected with the Curriculum and to generalise skills taught in the classroom.  The school uses the ‘Beatrice’ narrow boat which is designed to accommodate people with special needs.

Cultural Studies week – Each year, during the summer term, the whole school focusses on learning about a different country.  During Cultural Studies week resident artists are invited into school to work alongside pupils.

Fund Raising - There is active fund raising in school.  School council and Eco committee will decide on events to be run throughout the school year e.g. school disco, Children in Need, non-uniform days.

Annual Review meetings take place yearly in line with the review of your child's statement or Education Health Care Plan. Parents meetings also take place at the end of the academic year where general progress and targets are discussed.

End of year parent/carer meetings - this is an opportunity to discuss your child's end of year report
